Long-Time TBFA Employee Announces Retirement

Marie WebMontgomery, Alabama – The Baptist Foundation of Alabama (the Foundation) today announced that after a 21+ year career, Executive Administrative Assistant Marie Norrell, has decided to retire effective November 20, 2015. Mrs. Norrell’s decision to retire will bring to a close her time with the Foundation which began in April 1994.

Barry Bledsoe, President, said, “I do not know of anyone more loyal or more dependable than Marie Norrell. She has done an excellent job of making sure that everything runs smoothly for our Board, our staff, and our clients. All of us associated with The Baptist Foundation of Alabama will miss her.”

“I want to say thank you to The Baptist Foundation of Alabama family for these last 21 years,” Mrs. Norrell said. “Looking back, I truly appreciate my time here. It has been a blessing to work with the Foundation team and Baptists around the State of Alabama.”

Mrs. Norrell was honored by the Board of Directors of the Foundation at the firm’s semi-annual Board meeting on October 29, 2015. She will be celebrated by the staff later this month.
