Mobile Area Estate Stewardship Conference Draws Record Attendance

Saraland, Alabama – On September 24, 2014, The Baptist Foundation of Alabama (TBFA) was on the campus of First Baptist North Mobile to host its Mobile Area Estate Stewardship Conference. Church leaders in attendance heard from TBFA staff and fellow pastors about the ways an effective estate stewardship ministry can serve church members by providing them an estate plan that honors their family and their faith.

Representatives from the following churches were in attendance:

3 Circle Church, Fairhope

Baldwin Baptist Association

Chapel Hill Baptist Church, Millry

Cottage Hill Baptist Church, Mobile

First Baptist Church, Fairhope

First Baptist Church, North Mobile

First Baptist Church, Satsuma

Mobile Baptist Association

Barry Bledsoe, President of TBFA, gave an overview of the Foundation and described the components of an effective estate stewardship ministry. He then held a question and answer session with Ed Litton, Senior Pastor and Scott White, Executive Pastor of First Baptist North Mobile. Ed and Scott discussed the blessings both have seen (personally, for the members of their church, and for First Baptist itself) from implementing an estate stewardship ministry.

Scott White said, “We could not be more excited at North Mobile about joining with the vision and passion of The Baptist Foundation of Alabama. The Estate Stewardship Conference was an invaluable opportunity to learn how to partner with them for greater Kingdom impact.”

Barry Bledsoe said, “We are grateful to First Baptist North Mobile for hosting this important event for local churches. We would also like to thank the pastors who came to learn more about the ways estate stewardship ministry can effectively serve their church members, as it has for First Baptist North Mobile.”
